Thank you for visiting our site and taking the time to read about the inception of Janani. The name Janani was chosen with purpose, as it means "mother" and "one who gives birth" in Sanskrit. Our mission is to provide a platform for mothers or expecting mothers to access Ayurvedic resources for their postpartum care, a need that arose from the limited availability of such resources in the US. During our research, we realized that there was a lack of easily accessible, safe, and natural ingredients for postpartum care.

To address this issue, we have created a package that is user-friendly, making it easy for our customers to use the correct amount of product without creating a mess during preparation. All of our products are natural and some are sourced from their natural habitats, making it imperative to ensure their safety for human consumption, given the threats of industrialization and pollution. With utmost care, we ensure that all of our products are within safe limits for human consumption.

At Janani, we aim to promote health and wellness during the postpartum period through Ayurvedic oils and herbs that have been used for generations. Our products have been known to alleviate postpartum depression and help women to rejuvenate and recover during this time. Historically, postpartum care was provided by older female family members, but we also believe that involving partners in this process can enhance the bonding and relationship between couples.

From personal experience, we have seen that the wellness package offered by Janani has positively impacted mental health and wellness. During the postpartum period, it is common for women to feel less confident about their appearance, and having a supportive partner who understands the natural changes in the body can be immensely helpful.
